Faith Tracker ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Faith Tracker mobile application ("App").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you sign in using Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, we receive:

A unique user identifier provided by Apple or Google
Your name (if you choose to share it)
Your email address (if you choose to share it; Apple allows you to hide your email)

1.2 User-Provided Content

When you use the Reflect and Amen features, you may enter:

Personal feelings and reflections
Notes about your day or spiritual journey

This content is sent to our servers to generate personalized reflections and prayers. We do not store your free-text input after processing unless required for your session.

1.3 Usage Data

We collect anonymous usage data to improve the App, including:

Screens viewed and features used
Level completion events
Subscription status
App version and device type

1.4 Devotional Progress

We store your daily completion status (which levels you've completed on which dates) to display your progress calendar and maintain streaks.

2. How We Use Your Information

3. Third-Party Services

3.1 Analytics (PostHog)

We use PostHog for anonymous usage analytics. PostHog collects device type, app version, and interaction events. It does not collect your name, email, or devotional content. You can learn more at PostHog's Privacy Policy.

3.2 Authentication Providers

3.3 Content Generation

Your reflection input is sent to a third-party language model API (Anthropic) to generate personalized devotional content. This data is processed in accordance with Anthropic's Privacy Policy and is not used to train AI models.

3.4 Bible Text APIs

Scripture text may be retrieved from third-party Bible APIs (API.Bible, ESV API). These services receive Scripture reference requests but no personal user data.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure (Workers, D1 database, KV storage). We use HTTPS for all data in transit and follow industry-standard security practices. Authentication tokens are securely stored on your device using iOS Keychain.

5. Data Retention

Account data: Retained while your account is active.
Devotional progress: Retained while your account is active.
Reflection input: Processed in real-time and not persistently stored on our servers.
Analytics data: Retained for up to 12 months.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your personal data by contacting us.
Delete your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below.
Withdraw consent for data processing by deleting your account.
Data portability - request a copy of your data in a standard format.

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights under the GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by updating the effective date above.
